While digital communication platforms minimize the challenges of distance in your practice, time becomes a significant logistical constraint for artists working from four different continents. Collaboration across fifteen time-zones creates a sense of urgency in our creative practices as we have limited time to meet each week. The constraint of time in our practice provides opportunity to reflect and respond to the ideas of others in new and innovative ways. This results in developments which could not come from a single mind alone.

At Barac Mannheim, six of our members were able to meet in-person, many for the first time. Our visits ranged from four to thirty days. During this limited time, we have continued to collaborate with our members around the world. We had a group exhibition called Time Sensitive.
